April 21, 2010: New Herbarium Cabinets have arrived!

The W.P. Fraser (SASK) Herbarium has just obtained 8 new herbarium storage cabinets. We are in the process of sorting and moving our collection. Please be aware that this may cause some delays in processing loan requests. Thank you for your patience.

Effective February 2010, the policy for the treatment of incoming plant material is that it must be frozen at -80C for one week by Herbarium staff before entering the herbarium. If you have specimens for the SASK Herbarium, please call (306)966-4968 or email us at BEFORE bringing in your specimens. We have to ensure there is space for your collection in our freezer before you bring it in.
